Step 1 — what are you making?
What it is

Not a form. A design studio.

Every Omnitub is handmade in Somerset, so we built a proper tool to design yours. Tap “Step into the OmniStudio” on any product page and the studio takes over the screen — colour, waste, the overflow and tap holes drilled and the tub trimmed to fit, and a matching panel, every choice rendered live with the price and delivery date moving with you. Nothing is guessed, nothing is hidden.

01

See it before you buy it

Pick a colour and the tub recolours in front of you — rotate the view, go full-screen, compare finishes side by side. What you design is what we hand-finish on the bench.

02

Honest price & date

The running total and the earliest delivery day update with every choice — white ships fast; a colour adds the finishing time. You always know the figure and the date before the basket.

03

Cut to fit your bathroom

Have us core the overflow, drill the tap holes and trim the tub to your wall — chosen in the studio, signed off, and done before it ships. Or fit it yourself with our step-by-step guide.

04

The whole set, together

Tub, waste and panel built as one. Add the matching Omnitone waste and a made-to-measure panel without leaving the flow — it all lands in the same basket.

How it works

Four steps, start to basket

A clear path from a blank tub to a finished design — colour, waste, the holes and trimming to fit, then a panel — with a running build summary so you never lose your place.

  1. Step 1

    Choose your colour

Browse 487+ colours by family, or type a BS 4800, RAL, Farrow & Ball, Pantone or Dulux reference — or describe a bespoke match. The tub recolours live, and the colour you pick carries through to the waste. White ships without surcharge; any colour adds the colour service.

  2. Step 2

    Add the right waste

A deep tub is unforgiving on the wrong waste, so the studio walks you to the exact one — overflow or clean, tap-fed or filled through the overflow. Then it offers the finish: a standard plated option, or Match my tub with Omnitone so the waste disappears into your colour.

  3. Step 3

    Drilled & trimmed to fit

All optional, all yours to choose. If your waste has an overflow, the studio offers to core it and to drill your tap holes to the exact positions you pick — £75 each. Sitting in a recess, corner or alcove? Trim the tub to your wall, £75 per cut. You sign each one off and we email the spec with your order — or fit it yourself with our guide.

  4. Step 4

    Finish it with a panel

If your tub sits against a wall, add a made-to-measure bath panel in the same colour. Enter your size in mm, cm or inches and the studio prices it as you type — front or L-shaped, white or any colour. Then everything — tub, waste and panel — lands in one basket, on dates you choose.

Made to fit

Drilled and trimmed to fit your space

Every Omnitub is handmade in Somerset, so we can prepare yours for its exact installation before it leaves us — the overflow cored, the tap holes drilled, the tub trimmed to your wall. Each one is optional, chosen in the studio and priced as you go; prefer to fit it yourself? Every tub ships with our step-by-step guide.

  • Overflow, cored for youPick the side and we core the Ø52 mm overflow at the 525 mm soak line, finished to match your colour — £75. The studio shows exactly where it sits and whether it’s flush.
  • Tap holes, drilled to fitTwo holes for ¾″ tap tails at 180 mm centres — the layout that suits most bath taps — cored before dispatch for £75, so there’s nothing to measure on the day.
  • Trimmed to your wallIn a recess, corner or alcove? We trim the walled sides so the tub slots into the exact space — £75 per cut, in 5 mm steps, leaving a clean rim.

You set each position in the studio and sign it off, and we email the exact specification with your order. Drilling or trimming makes your tub bespoke, so it’s non-returnable — except, of course, for anything damaged in transit.

    Colour & finish

Is the colour painted on, or does it go all the way through? Will it fade or chip?

The colour is permanent — it's part of the material itself, not a finish applied on top. Every coloured Omnitub has the colour running right through the Omnigel surface, so there's nothing to chip, peel or wear off.

    • It won't fade — the colour is locked into the gel, not a paint or coating sitting on the surface.
    • It can't chip through to a different colour underneath — the colour is the surface.
    • It's matched to your exact specification — a BS 4800 or RAL code, a Pantone reference, or a physical sample (a tile, a piece of trim, anything you send us).

Because the colour is built in rather than sprayed on, a coloured Omnitub carries the same lifetime durability as a white one — made to last a lifetime, never painted on.

What colours can I choose from — can you match any colour?

You're not limited to a fixed palette — your Omnitub is made to order in the colour you specify. We match to:

    • a BS 4800 code
    • a RAL reference (including metallic-look colours such as a copper RAL)
    • a Pantone reference
    • or a physical sample you send us — a tile, a piece of trim, a fabric swatch, anything carrying the colour you want

The colour runs right through the Omnigel surface (never painted on), so whatever you choose is permanent and carries the same lifetime durability as a white tub.

A coloured tub is made to order, with a 14 working day production lead time before dispatch — and if it suits your project better, we can hold it and deliver to a later date.

One thing to be clear on: we colour-match to a code or a sample, including metallic-look shades like copper. We don't make baths in actual metal — a 'copper' Omnitub means a copper-coloured Omnigel finish, not a copper bath.

How do I choose my colour — and can I see it before I order?

Choosing your colour is beautifully simple. Every coloured Omnitub is made to a RAL reference — the colour system used right across the design, architecture and decorating world. You can view the entire RAL range on a fan deck, online, or at any paint merchant, and see your exact shade in its true form before you decide. (We also work to BS 4800 references.)

Once you've chosen your RAL code, that is precisely the colour your tub is made in — matched exactly and carried right through the Omnigel, so it stays true and consistent across the whole piece, for life.

Because RAL is a published, universally recognised reference, the shade you view is the shade you receive — wherever you are in the world. There's no waiting on a sample in the post to make your decision.

Looking for a colour beyond these ranges? We'd be glad to match it — simply send us the sample you'd like us to work from (a paint chip, a tile, a piece of trim) and we'll match your tub to it directly.

Is the colour a gloss or matt finish — can I choose the sheen?

    16×
    asked
    Asked by customers
From 16 real customer enquiries across calls, video calls and emails.

Every Omnitub is finished by hand. Our hand-polished finish is widely regarded across the industry as a step above a standard gloss finish — for a depth and clarity of surface that sprayed finishes simply can't match. It's what gives an Omnitub its quiet, considered luxury, and it comes as standard on every tub, in any colour.

If you'd prefer a softer, matt finish, we offer it on a select few designs:

    • our 1500 round soaking tub, finished in matt, and
    • our 1100 × 700, available in either the hand-polished finish or matt.

And for a bespoke commission, we can create your tub in a matt finish too — just let us know when you enquire.

If you've your heart set on a matt option and can't yet see it listed, simply get in touch and we'll be delighted to arrange it for you.

    Drilling, taps & trimming

Can you drill the overflow and tap holes for me, or do I have to do it myself?

Either — it's your choice, made in the studio. After you pick your waste, we offer to core the overflow (£75) and drill the tap holes (£75) to the exact positions you choose, before your tub leaves Somerset — so there's nothing to measure, core or second-guess on fitting day.

Prefer to do it on site? Every tub ships with our step-by-step drilling guide, and your tub stays standard and fully returnable. Once we drill it to your specification it becomes a bespoke, made-to-order item, so it can't be returned — except, of course, if it arrives damaged in transit.

What is trimming, and do I need it?

    18×
    asked

From 18 real customer enquiries across calls, video calls and emails.

If your tub sits in a recess, corner or alcove, we can trim the rim on the sides that meet a wall so the tub slots into your exact space — £75 per cut, in 5 mm steps. The open sides keep their full rim for access.

Free-standing tubs need no trimming at all. You choose your install — one wall, a corner or an alcove — in the studio, set the size on each walled side, and sign it off. Trimming makes your tub bespoke and non-returnable, except for transit damage.

Where does the overflow sit — will it stand proud of the tub?

    11×
    asked
    Asked by customers
From 11 real customer enquiries across calls, video calls and emails.

You choose the side in the studio and we core the Ø52 mm overflow at the 525 mm soak line. On our 600 range it sits flush; on the Sheer range it's flush on the wide end and stands slightly proud on a long side — which is fine when that side faces a wall.

If you've trimmed a side, the studio shows you exactly whether the overflow on that side will stand proud and by how much, so there are no surprises — and a small protrusion simply tucks into the wall recess.

Can the waste (plug) hole be moved?

    9×
    asked
    Asked by customers
From 9 real customer enquiries across calls, video calls and emails.

No — the waste hole is pre-drilled in a fixed position, shown on the plan in the studio, and can't be moved. It's the overflow, the tap holes and the trimming that you tailor to your bathroom.

What tap holes do you drill?

    13×
    asked
    Asked by customers
From 13 real customer enquiries across calls, video calls and emails.

The standard layout — two holes for ¾″ tap tails at 180 mm centres, on the rim — which suits about 95% of bath taps. If you're using a different tap design, tell us in the studio and our team will confirm the template with you before we drill.

Wall-mounted or floor-standing taps need no holes in the tub at all, so you can skip this step.

Does having the tub drilled or trimmed affect my returns?

    15×
    asked
    Asked by customers
From 15 real customer enquiries across calls, video calls and emails.

Drilling or trimming makes your Omnitub a bespoke, made-to-order item cut to your specification, so it becomes non-returnable. This never affects your legal right to a replacement or refund if your tub arrives damaged in transit.

So you have a complete record, you sign off the exact positions and sizes in the studio, and we email the signed specification to you with your order.
